Sony VPL-VW60 SXRD Video Projector:
User Interface The Sony's onscreen menus are virtually identical to those in the Pearl. My only beef here is that some of the sub-menus do not let you go "around the horn" (that is, jump from the top item to the bottom by moving the cursor up or vice versa). Fortunately, the backlit remote is a good one, offering direct access to many of the most frequently used adjustments. However, there are no direct-access buttons for the inputs. The Panel Alignment feature can only be adjusted using a crosshatch pattern generated by the projector. When I tweaked the alignment using the internal pattern, the convergence was still slightly off when I viewed a similar pattern from a test disc. I went back and forth between the internal and external patterns until the latter was as close to perfect as I could make it. I wish this feature would let you make adjustments using external signals; perhaps a firmware update might make this possible.
