Pioneer Elite PRO-141FD Plasma Monitor:
Unit-to-unit sample variations, the viewing environment, and the source might render these settings less than optimum. We strongly recommend that you confirm the results on your sample by using a good display setup DVD to get as close as possible to an optimum picture short of a full calibration. The latter is best left to a trained and properly equipped technician, such as those certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) or THX. Unit-to-unit sample variations, the viewing environment, and the source might render these recommendations less than optimum. They are provided only as a useful starting place. We strongly recommend that you confirm the results on your sample by using one of the many display setup DVDs that are available, such as Digital Video Essentials. This will help you to set the user video controls correctly. The settings here that are most likely to translate reliably from one sample to another are those involving specific features, such as Color Space, Gamma, and Noise Reduction. The ones likely to translate less well are the Custom Color Temperature settings. Precision tools, used by an experienced calibrator, are still required to precisely dial in the color temperature and, in this case, make use of the ISFccc feature.
