Mitsubishi WD-65731 RPTV: First Look
Mitusbishi is apparently getting more serious about DLP than before, if the number of trademarked technologies associated with the 731 series sets is any indication. These new sets get 1920x1080 pixels on the screen via wobulation of a 960x1080 DMD, and they will accept native 1080p signals via HDMI. These sets are also distinguished by the use of dynamic iris system for deeper blacks, a rare but quickly expanding feature in DLPs. Another unique feature is a six-segment color wheel with segments dedicated to the secondary colors- cyan, magenta, and yellow- as well as the red, green and blue primaries. Available now.
