If you want the best of the best at any price, this is it.

Why We Like It:
Pioneer has redefined plasma picture quality with its Kuro line, including this 60" beauty with the best blacks in the business.

Why We Like It:
This is among the first LCD TVs to use LED backlighting with local dimming to create far darker blacks and greater contrast than any LCD in history.

Why We Like It:
A big, beautiful plasma, this one has superior detail and resolution. It's blacks might not be the deepest, but it's first-rate in most other respects.

Why We Like It:
The 50-incher from Panasonic's flagship line of plasmas produces an outstandingly smooth yet detailed image with excellent blacks and contrast. The colors are a bit oversaturated, but this is otherwise a fine set.

Olevia 747i LCD

Why We Like It:
When the 747i first appeared, it listed for $4000, so it's recently reduced price makes it a real steal. Among the best detail of any LCD, though the black levels are not that great. Still, it produces a truly beautiful image.
