Pioneer Elite SC-09TX A/V Receiver:
This graph shows that the SC-09TX's left channel, from Multi input to speaker output with two channels driving 8-ohm loads continuously at 1 kHz, reaches 0.1% distortion at 200.2 watts and 1% distortion at 268.7 watts. Into 4 ohms, the amplifier reaches 0.1% distortion at 390.1 watts and 1% distortion at 523.4 watts. With five channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads, the amp reaches 0.1% distortion at 199.4 watts and 1% distortion at 267.3 watts. With seven channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads, the amp reaches 0.1% distortion at 198.6 watts. I was unable to measure the power level at 1% distortion because the protection circuit engaged before it reached that level. It reached the manufacturer's stated distortion of 0.05% at 181.1 watts, which is not all that far from the 200 watts specified by Pioneer.
