With five channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads, the receiver reaches 0.1% distortion at 153.2 watts and 1% distortion at 172.3 watts. With all channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads, the amp reaches 0.1% distortion at 120.0 watts and 1% distortion at 148.9 watts. Pioneer's power specs are only slightly overstated at 140Wpc into 8 ohms with 0.09% THD, all channels driven.
