McIntosh MC207 Amplifier: First Look
The original Big Mac is back! McIntosh's MC207 is a massive, seven-channel amp rated to deliver a full 200-Watts per channel into 8 or 4 ohms. A switch adjusts the rail voltages to compensate. Although it's a new release, the MC207 sports the forever cool, and decidedly retro glass faceplate with meters that track, well, who cares when they look that hip? Among the neat tricks this new Mac can perform, users can chose whether to run all seven channels in their theater, or use five in the main room and two for a second zone somewhere else in the house. Shaken, not stirred. Available now.
